Service Description
In this casual take on the Japanese Kintsugi technique, you'll not only learn how to repair and highlight cracks in pottery, but you will also have the chance to get creative by adorning your bowl. This beautiful technique is about embracing imperfections, just like traditional Kintsugi, but with a fun, personal flair. You’ll use gold or silver to make the cracks shine, and then decorate the bowls with unique designs. You’ll have a ton of cool things to choose from to decorate your bowls! Think glass beads, old costume jewelry, natural goodies like shells, feathers, and smooth river rocks, plus fabrics, vintage buttons, sparkly sequins, little mirror pieces, metal washers, old coins, fun wire shapes, vintage postcards, cinnamon sticks, and even aluminum foil. There’s something for every vibe! All materials are provided, if you have something special you would like to include, please feel free to bring it.
