Workshops, Classes, Camps, Birthday Parties & Studio Rental

Workshops

Our workshops offer a fun, focused art experience for all ages. From felting and clay to watercolor, mixed media, and seasonal crafts, each session introduces new materials and techniques in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Workshops are perfect for beginners and experienced creators alike, giving students the chance to explore, experiment, and leave with a finished project they can be proud of.

Classes

Weekly classes at Wren’s Nest Art Studio nurture creativity over time. Students explore paint, collage, ink, sculpture, and textiles while learning about artists and styles from around the world. Each class blends guided instruction with self-expression, helping young artists build skills and confidence through projects inspired by their own interests. Our supportive studio environment encourages curiosity, imagination, and a lifelong love of art.

After-School Classes

After-school classes are designed for discovery and exploration. Students work with a wide range of materials—paint, collage, ink, sculpture, textiles, and more—while learning new techniques and studying different artists each week. With a balance of guidance and freedom, young artists gain confidence as they create individual projects in a low-pressure, encouraging environment. All materials are provided, making it easy for kids to jump in and start creating.

Homeschool Classes

Our Homeschool Art Group gives children the space to create, learn, and connect with peers in a supportive community. Each 4-hour, 16-week semester includes a guided group lesson and project, time for snack and lunch, and open studio time for independent exploration. Students can draw, paint, sculpt, or experiment with a variety of materials while developing problem-solving skills and artistic confidence. Homeschool classes are a welcoming space for inspiration, self-expression, and friendship.

Camps

When school’s out, art is in! We offer creative camps year-round, summer, spring break, winter break, Thanksgiving, and school closure days. Kids ages 4 to 12 enjoy themed projects, open studio time, outdoor play, and their own art journal to take home. Half- and full-day options available.

Craft Nights and Parents' Night Out

Looking for a fun evening out? Join us at Wren’s Nest Art Studio for our Monthly Date Night, where couples, friends, or families can relax, create a special craft together, and enjoy a night of creativity. Need some grown-up time? Our Parents’ Night Out option lets you drop off your child for a guided art project, open studio fun, and plenty of creativity while you enjoy dinner or a night on the town. Whether you’re making memories together or giving yourself a well-deserved break, our studio is the perfect place for connection, imagination, and fun

The Art of Travel Journals

Thursdays

October 9, 16,  23

6:00-8:00p

$40

12 and older

Join Nicolle in her dream: to be the Johnny Appleseed of sketchbooks—scattering sketchbooks everywhere she goes and encouraging people to slow down, look closer, and capture their days, travels, and little moments in a way that’s fun, personal, and gloriously imperfect. That, and finding the perfect carry-on bag and the best compression socks.

In this class, expect a relaxed, welcoming space where creativity thrives, perfection is left at the door, and sketchbooks become your favorite travel companion. If you leave with confidence to record your wanderings and a better packing strategy, Nicolle counts it as a win.

Bring your own sketchbook or personal journal, and all other materials will be supplied. Classes can be taken separately or as a series.

Tuesdays

September  9, 16, 23

October 7, 14, 21

6:00- 8:00p

$40 per class or $220 for all 6

Every artist has a mark, a process, a signature, a style. Some of that starts with the process. Let’s explore some options together: simple ground colors, contrasting patches, working out frustrations, journaling on your art, and collages of various papers and petals. What’s the right process for you? Do you need a sketch of your shapes to work around and within, or would you rather poke at a color because you want to see where it takes you? Do you like hidden messages in artwork or collages of eye candy? Everyone will start a piece to take home, ready for your next step. The supplies you will need for class are listed below. Alternatively, you can pay a $30 material fee to Jessica on the first day of class for the entire series, or $5 per class.

Mandalas As Meditation

Wednesdays

In Sanskrit, mandala means “circle”—a sacred circle embodying a container for the essence within.

Monks often use mandalas as a meditation practice for healing and compassion. The repetition of patterns, colors, and shapes invite the practice of pure presence … nothing to do but stay in the moment, in the flow. Working with mandalas is a playful, creative, and inspiring way to practice self-discovery and mindfulness.
